The fact that Walden Mathews very recently felt the need to ask Who Is Frick one week and ask If Rick Is Frick the next suggests that the Battle Of Wits is far from over. That shows the difficulty of coming up with a plausible, yet sane explanation of the Full Strangeness Of Vicki - a new page which already has the best overview of the data to be explained, from October 2000 to the present. There has been one smart person at least under the nom de plume VickiKerr. Can't that person open up the play, come down from the pedestal and be an ordinary fallible clublet mortal? That would be cool.

God And Existence v21 provides the most recent example of the smartness without apparent fallibility or mortality. Now the Draconian Host has changed the apparent name of our eager Semantic Spamicider for the first time for over two years. The nature of the proposed regime of the Faceless Rulers was first discussed at the end of Vicki Kerr Not Frozen so it's not that new an idea. I'm still concerned by the life expectancies. Are we talking Twelve Year Reich or what? Discussion of the relationship to current projections for my own apparently disposable life continues in Resident Pedant. -- Richard Drake

Since this page and user name was "frozen" in early May, contributions have been signed VickiKerr under a number of other user names, including James Crook, Chris Holt and Kirk Kitchen. The "debate" with the persona concerned became increasingly surreal in pages like Ho Hum and took what might be called an obliquely sinister turn in Hidden Agenda, where the imminent death of one the hosts was chosen as a relevant subject to consider alongside his stubborn lack of social skills. Note that considerable effort was expended by this third party (and wasted for everyone else, especially the hosts) in talking about everything other than the very simple, low energy step of letting one other person in the community know, in strict confidence, who they were.
Passwords are available on request to any known Why editor to avoid the Identity Spoofing mentioned above. Note that this is the only known occurence of this practice in the first six months of Why. The hosts continue to reserve the right to grant and remove passwords or to do anything else that we judge supports our stated goal of Real People Please here.
