  Real Names Please carries the spirit of Wiki. You are accountable for what you added, or removed. You can, of course, do things anonymously, but real names should be used where appropriate.

They also mean that one can see where a comment originated, and thus personal conversations can be held on your Home Page as opposed to cluttering up the page for that topic. As with all Wikis -- there's more than one way of doing everything.
